RUN & GUN 2015

On July 24, 2015, 16 teams came to our studios and were each challenged to write, shoot, edit, and deliver a complete film in 48 hours, in our first ever Run & Gun 48 Hour Film Competition. For our inaugural year, they were required to include: (a) character: a delivery boy/girl with at least one line of dialogue, (b) line of dialogue: "we're going to need a bigger ______", and (c) prop: spoon." THE RNG 2015 JURY

WARREN P. SONODA

Award-winning director of Trailer Park Boys, Swearnet: The Movie, and more than a dozen other titles. He has also directed over 160 music videos. One of Canada’s most prolific directors, Director’s Caucus representative of DGC Ontario, recipient of the Queen’s Jubilee Medal for his outstanding contributions to the Canadian film industry. He also holds the world record for most swear words in a feature film.

GIGI SAUL GUERRERO

AS OF THE FOUNDERS OF LUCHAGORE PRODUCTIONS, GIGI HAS BECOME ONE OF THE MOST PROLIFIC HORROR DIRECTORS IN THE WORLD. SHE DIRECTED ONE OF THE CROWD FAVOURITE SEGMENTS, DIA DE LOS MUERTOS, IN THE POPULAR MEXICAN HORROR ANTHOLOGY MÉXICO BÁRBARO FILM, AND NOW SHE IS GEARING UP TO MAKE A FEATURE FILM FROM HER MULTI- AWARD-WINNING MASTERPIECE EL GIGANTE.

CALEB SLAIN

LA-based Caleb Slain has directed some amazing, award-winning, viral short films (most of which are Vimeo staff picks). He has shot commercials for Volvo, Microsoft, Ford, Nike, among other high profile clients. Whether it’s shooting a commercial or cutting an epic, viral tribute to Philip Seymour Hoffman, Caleb puts the highest level of care into his craft.

AARON KEELING

Producer and director of the drama-horror festival hit, House on Pine Street. The film has sold out shows all around the festival circuit, has won a handful of awards & nominations and was recently picked up by Raven Banner Entertainment, a well known Canadian Distributor.

HUMANTOWN

The recent winners of CBC’s Comedy Coup Contest, the HumanTown team is a hilarious bunch of BC- raised filmmakers that will soon be the poster boys for Canadian Comedy. The team has been working together since they were in highschool, now they’ve been greenlit for their own TV show on CBC.
